A glamping packing list is mostly clothes, shoes and personal items, because stays such as Under Canvas supply the sheets, down comforters, towels and shampoo. Under Canvas tents have no outlets and no Wi-Fi, so the items that matter most are a charging cable, warm layers for the nights and a rain jacket.

What to Pack for Glamping
Pack for the weather and the trail, and let the camp handle the bed. Under Canvas puts hiking shoes, backpacks, water bottles, a charging cord, layers and a rain jacket on its own what-to-bring list.
- Layers, including one warm layer for evenings by the fire and nights in the tent.
- A rain jacket.
- Hiking shoes.
- A daypack for water, snacks and a spare layer.
- A water bottle for every person in the group.
- A Universal Serial Bus (USB) charging cable. USB-C adaptors are limited at Under Canvas, so bring the cable your phone uses.
- A headlamp for the walk between the tent, the campfire and the car after dark.
- Toiletries beyond shampoo and body wash, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, sunscreen and deodorant. Under Canvas sells no toiletries at camp.
- Medications, plus a request for a powered battery if you sleep with a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine.
- Your park pass. Under Canvas does not sell them, so you buy one at the park entrance or carry an America the Beautiful pass.
- Bear spray for Glacier, where the National Park Service tells visitors to carry it in spring, fall and winter because bears stay active.
Not every tent has a private bathroom or a restaurant on site. Under Canvas Moab's Safari tents use a shared bathhouse with private stalls, so add sandals and a toiletry bag you can carry across camp. Under Canvas Moab also has no café-style dining, only grab-and-go snacks and communal grills, so plan your meals before you arrive.
What Glamping Stays Usually Provide
Under Canvas supplies all bedding (sheets, pillows, down comforters and blankets), towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand sanitizer. You can leave sleeping bags, pillows and bath towels at home.
Heat comes from a wood-burning stove in every tent type except the Kids Tents, and the camp supplies wood, firestarter and matches. Kids Tents have no heating element at all, so pack warm sleepwear for any child sleeping in one. None of the tents have air conditioning, although the Grand Circle camps, including Zion, have USB fans and misting systems that cool the tents a little.
At Under Canvas Zion, every tent has a private ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and flushing toilet, plus complimentary firewood. The camp lights fires each night and hands out complimentary s'mores, so you do not need to pack marshmallows. Amenities differ between operators and between tent types at one camp, and the Under Canvas FAQ lists what Under Canvas supplies.
Glamping Packing List for Cold Nights Near Bryce Canyon and Glacier
Cold nights decide most of the clothing you bring to Bryce Canyon and Glacier. Bryce Canyon sits at about 8,000 feet, and from October to May temperatures fall below freezing nearly every night, according to the park's weather page. The coldest and snowiest stretch is typically December through February, when average January lows sit around 15°F.
For Bryce, pack a warm hat, gloves, an insulated jacket and warm sleepwear, even if the daytime forecast looks mild. In winter the park recommends traction devices, from crampons to lighter slip-on types, across the park and especially in parking lots and on paved areas (winter guidance). The bookstore in the Visitor Center sells them, and after heavy snowfall most day-hike trails need snowshoes.
Glacier can turn cold early in the season. Snow is possible at lower elevations as early as mid-September, and high spots such as Logan Pass run roughly 10 to 15°F cooler than West Glacier. East-side downslope gusts often reach 50 miles per hour or more.
Most businesses and services in and near Glacier close from early October through late May. Pack anything you would normally buy on the way, or plan a stop at the full-service grocery stores in Hungry Horse or Columbia Falls. Month-by-month conditions are in the Bryce Canyon weather guide and Glacier weather guide, and colder trips are covered in winter glamping in Utah and Montana.
Charging Phones Without Outlets
Under Canvas tents have no electricity or outlets, and no Under Canvas location has Wi-Fi. Each tent has battery-powered fans and lanterns with USB plugs, and those can charge at least two phones. A family with several phones, a camera and a tablet should pack a charged power bank to cover the rest.
USB-C adaptors are available on request, first come, first served. For any device that charges on something other than USB, bring your own cable. Powered batteries for CPAP machines and other medical devices are also available on request, so ask for one when you book.
Cell coverage varies by location and provider. Download trail maps, park information and your booking confirmation before you leave town. Near Glacier's entrances, the park's Travelers' Information Station broadcasts updates on 1610 amplitude modulation (AM) radio.
Extras for Stargazing and Park Days
Binoculars are worth packing for both Bryce Canyon and Glacier. Glacier asks visitors not to approach or feed wildlife and to watch animals through binoculars, spotting scopes or long telephoto lenses.
A warm hat matters most on night programs. In winter, Bryce Canyon's full moon hikes become a free snowshoe outing when the snow is deep enough, possible from November through March. Those hikes may be canceled for cloudy skies or temperatures below 10°F, lug-sole boots are required, and children 7 and younger cannot join.
Under Canvas Zion runs star parties and offers Stargazer tents with a viewing window above the bed. At Dark Light Collection, we are building glass pyramids near Bryce Canyon and Glacier for a 2027 opening. Each pyramid has a personal deck telescope, so a travel scope can stay at home.
Dogs are welcome at Under Canvas Zion for a small nightly fee. Inside Zion National Park, the Pa'rus Trail is the only trail open to dogs, so plan any dog walks there. In Glacier, pets are not allowed on trails, on unplowed roads or in the backcountry.
What to Leave Off Your Glamping Packing List
Leave food out of the tent, because Under Canvas does not allow food inside tents. Beverages are fine, so a water bottle or a thermos can sit by the bed. Eat at the camp dining area or outdoors.
Extra bedding, pillows and bath towels only take up trunk space at a camp that already supplies them. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are covered too, so travel-size bottles of those can stay home.
Before you zip the bag, compare the provided items in the Under Canvas FAQ with the forecast in the Bryce Canyon or Glacier weather guide, then pack only what is missing.
A warm hat and binoculars make cold, clear nights easier to enjoy, and the Bryce Canyon stargazing guide covers what to look for once you are out under the sky.
